Dental Crown Placement

single crown

Now that your tooth is healthy and clear from any infection, it’s time to cover and protect it with a dental crown. This part is often fun for our patients, as we get to dive into details about what the final product will look like; this involves picking the tooth material, shade, and shape.

We will take an impression of your tooth following the root canal, and this will be sent to our dental lab where your new crown will be fabricated. During this time, you will be given a temporary crown to wear until your permanent one is ready.

Once we receive the new crown, you will return to our office for placement. The temporary crown will be removed, and your new one will be checked for fit. If everything looks good, the crown will be cemented into place.
