After Root canal Therapy & Dental Crown

  • Once the procedure is complete, and you receive your new crown, you can expect to feel some mild discomfort for a day or two. Over-the-counter pain medication is typically all that is needed to manage any discomfort.
  • You should avoid chewing on the side of your mouth where the root canal was performed until the numbness has completely dissipated. Once the numbness is gone, you can resume your normal activities.
  • Just like your natural teeth, it’s important to brush and floss regularly to remove any plaque or bacteria that could cause the tooth to become infected again.
