Veneers

Dental veneers are thin shells of tooth-colored material that are bonded to the front surface of teeth for both functional and aesthetic reasons. Aesthetically, veneers are often used to mask stains, chips, cracks, or other minor flaws in a patient’s smile. Functionally, they can be used as part of a cosmetic makeover or to correct tetracycline staining or other dental discolorations. Veneers are also used to restore the shape, size, and alignment of teeth that have been worn down by tooth-grinding habits.

Veneers are custom-made from porcelain or plastic material that is carefully sculpted to achieve a natural appearance. Their color can be matched precisely with the surrounding teeth as well as with adjacent veneers. The surface of the veneer is then polished to ensure that it does not feel rough when your lips touch the teeth and gums.
